Starting Unit 5
Unit 5 is a big unit which will take us at least a month to do. We will start with quadratics, functions with x2 in them. The unit focusses on zeros and the factored form of polynomial functions. We will not be doing the rational function sections of the unit.

Unit 4 - Linear Programming
Linear Programming is a method of solving more complicated problems than we have dealt with before. You need the skills of graphing lines, evaluating inequalities, finding the intersections of lines and writing linear equations from word problems.

12/23 Finish or go to the a cappella concert
12/24 - 1/4 Christmas vacation
01/04 Parent Conferences (no classes)
01/05 Review graphing inequalities, Lego activity HW to p.11
After this we will do 1-2 problems a day. If people still have trouble with the skills required, we may have a few days of just drill.
