The beginning of trigonometry

We are beginning our study of trigonometry.  This is a big topic that will take at least 6 weeks to work through the book, probably longer.  This is a book that we need to finish so we may not get to the last book on probability.

Polynomials

Back from vacation, we continue with our yellow Unit 5 books. Quadratics were part of a family of functions called Polynomials. We will now study the whole family of polynomials.  As always, your homework is to finish the pages we worked on in class.

2/23  Polynomial Intro  p.23-24
2/24  More introductory ideas p.25-28
2/26  Zeros, multiplicity and the Intermediate Value Theorem p.29-31

3/01  Put the ideas together p.32-34
3/02  Practice p.35-36
3/03  More practice p.37-38
3/05  Polynomial Quiz

3/08  Solving Polynomial Equations on the Calculator p.39
3/09  Word Problems p.40-41
3/10  More Word Problems p.42-43
3/12  Review Day 1 p.60-62
